Eight-year study programme

This study programme is designed for pupils who have successfully completed year 5 of primary school and passed the entrance exams. The entrance exams take place on the date determined by the Ministry of Education.

Matriculation of new students – October 2004

Drama group

The focus of studies (subjects) is general with a balance between the sciences and humanities. Students take one foreign language (usually English) from the first year, and German or French from the third/fourth year. From year seven, and particularly in year eight, students are given the opportunity to specialize themselves and choose optional subjects - seminars. This involves specialisation directed at the school-leaving examination and university studies.

These studies are supplemented by optional extra subjects according to the needs and interests of the individual students (extra language lessons, drama group, school orchestra, sports). Students also take part in international projects and bilateral exchanges.

Water-sport course

The program finishes with school leaving exams. Every year new students go on an introductory cycling course in September. The students’ studies also include ski and water-sport courses.
